Welcome to 65 (Bridgwater and District) Air Cadet Squadron's Website. The Air Cadet Organization is a national
youth organization sponsored by the Royal Air Force in the UK.

Membership is open to young people aged between 13 and 20 years, inclusive. The 'ATC' (Air Training Corps)
provides the opportunity for members to take part in a huge and diverse range of exciting and challenging
activities.

65 Squadron is part of the Devon & Somerset Wing, commanded by Wing Commander Wills-Pope, also part of
the South-West Region and is located at Bridgwater. 65 Squadron is a vibrant squadron with 22 active cadets
currently parading and is currently looking to increase it’s numbers.

The minimum age one must be is 13 and 3 months, cadets may join when they are 13, but cannot be enrolled until they are 13 and 3months due to health and safety regulations. At 65 Sqn, the adult staff consists of 1 Officer and 1 Warrant Officer ATC, ably assisted by several civilian instructors. The Squadron is also supported by a mandatory Welfare Committee which is responsiblefor the welfare of both cadets and staff and for the raising and provision of funds for the Squadron.
