65 Squadron Welfare Committee
This committee is the most important link in a squadron’s administration,
not
only because it administers the squadron’s finances, but also
because it looks
after the welfare and recreational side of a squadron’s activities, as distinct
from the training
and parade side.
A Civilian Committee consists of a chairman, honorary secretary, honorary treasurer
and members, who are
often the parents of cadets attending a squadron, but can also
be prominent and
influential local citizens, able
and willing to give time and effort to supporting the ATC.
Naturally, one of the important functions of the committee will then be to establish and maintain good
relationships between the squadron and all elements of the local community with the object of obtaining their
support, e.g. from local businesses, Local Government officials and Local Education Authorities.
Should cadets/parents have any welfare issues, you can email the committee in confidence via the email link below, or speak to any member of staff on Squadron. Cadets also have the option to speak to the Welfare Committees cadet representative, Flight Sergeant Davis.
